Joining the City of Hollister in the Christmas Spirit, Embers Cigar Lounge has decorated their storefront for Downing Street Christmas. They have also donated to our Christmas Decoration Campaign to assist with the new items you have seen throughout town. We are a grateful for your support and partnership with the City.
Stepping up to the Downing Street Christmas Tree this week is Alice and John with your Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce. We are thankful for their partnership in many events and initiatives throughout Hollister and invited them to pick the design this week. With the holiday season gearing up, and while the weather doesn’t feel like winter is coming, we know it will be here soon. The City of Hollister has placed our Mitten Tree in the foyer at City Hall, and many have already begun decorating it with hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves. All items are donated back into our community to keep our citizens warm this winter. If you would like to bring in items, please stop by City Hall and help us fill the tree. Thank you for your support in helping our community!!

Last evening, Mayor Lamar Patton turned the Christmas Tree at Hulland Park red, white, and blue in honor of Veterans Homecoming Week. Visit https://5il.co/28i3l to view his message. The City of Hollister is proud of the men and women that have served our country and have allowed us the freedoms to celebrate as a community. This also begins our annual tradition of lighting the Hollister Christmas Trees. Be on the watch each week as we invite community members to choose each tree’s design. Missouri Department of Transportation will close Highway BB at Lacis Lane tomorrow, Monday, November 6th for pipe replacement. Work is scheduled, weather permitting, from 7:00am until 3:30pm. Please plan alternate routes of travel during this time.
