This past Wednesday, our leadership team was joined by Dr. Sean Woods, Assistant Superintendent for the Hollister R-V School District, for our monthly Lunch & Lead Speaker Series. Dr. Woods shared how leaders are found throughout an organization and are not defined by titles. He encouraged us to take initiative, communicate effectively and embrace continuous learning and development. We are thankful for our partnership with the Hollister Schools and grateful to Dr. Woods for sharing his leadership experience with our team.

The City of Hollister Team came together Thursday, December 12th, to celebrate Carmen Baxter on her retirement. Carmen served as our Finance Specialist for 9 years and enjoyed volunteering at many of our Hollister events. We are excited for Carmen to enjoy time with her family and traveling and will miss her at City Hall. Please join us in congratulating Carmen on her retirement.

The 2024 Christmas Season is in full swing, and the City of Hollister is excited to share our new decorations purchased with donations from our 2023 Donation Campaign. In its upcoming art exhibit, Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will be featuring the work of artist Livia Xandersmith, an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Her solo exhibit, Reaping Havoc, will run from December 6-28 at the SMAC Art Center gallery on historic Downing Street in Hollister.
