Due to recent vandalism, the Pickleball Courts at the Braden Recreational Complex are closed for maintenance. The City of Hollister asks for your assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for the continued damage taking place in the park. In the past several months, they have damaged the new benches, playground equipment and the nets and posts for the pickleball courts. We will work quickly to make the necessary repairs and reopen the courts for use. Thank you for your patience and assistance as we complete the repairs and to protect the park from future damage. You may report suspicious behavior at the park anytime to the police department, 417-334-3000.
The City of Hollister Team will be visiting your neighborhood soon to locate meter pits, water valves and manholes as we upgrade our GIS mapping system. All team members will be in clearly marked City of Hollister vehicles and wearing identifying credentials. Please do not hesitate to inquire for their id when they are in your area. In its upcoming art exhibit, Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will be featuring the work of Jessica Lowe in You’re Too Emotional? The exhibit will run from February 2-24 at the SMAC Art Center gallery on historic Downing Street in Hollister. An opening night reception will be held Friday, February 2, from 6-9 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Due to a traffic situation on Bus 65 at Maple St. East bound traffic on Bus 65 should expect to detour to 1st St and west bound traffic should expect to detour onto Esplanade St. We will update when the roadway is clear. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Wednesday, January 31st is the final day to renew your pet license without a penalty. When you license your dog or cat, we are able to help return your pet if they become lost.
