Thank you to our community as we installed restroom facilities today at Hulland and Braden Parks. While they are not fully operational at this time, we ask for your patience as we complete the final connection to utilities and concrete work around the buildings. We are just as excited as you are for these new features in your parks, and will work quickly to have them available.
Buena Vista will be closed for water line maintenance today between Evans and knox.
Hulland and Braden Parks will receive restroom facilities on Tuesday, March 18th. Please be aware these parks will close on 11:00pm, Monday in preparation of this installation and remain closed until heavy equipment leaves the area. This includes Pepper Dog Park. As the restrooms arrive, streets may be temporarily closed to allow for haulers to reach the park locations. Updates will be provided throughout the process.

The City of Hollister is passionate about our service to Hollister, and our associates enjoy sharing this with our next generation of leaders. This week we had the opportunity to host students from the Hollister Middle School. They learned about repairing water lines, mapping utilities and had a tour of the Police Department. We also had the chance to visit Hollister, Branson and Forsyth High Schools with the Taney County Partnership for Career Days. Thank you to all the students we had the chance to speak with and we are always available to discuss careers in public service with anyone interested.
The water department will be conducting water line maintenance in the areas of Crabtree, Old Mill, Scott, and Pinetree this afternoon. Expect water interuptions.

The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will host a solo exhibit of the work of artist Gala Keller, entitled Looking Closely. The show will run March 7-29 at the SMAC Art Center on historic Downing Street. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public. The opening reception will be held Friday, March 7 from 6-9 p.m. during which Keller will give a short talk as well as answer questions.
